The following is my translation of a little German book called "ein ganz normaler Müllmensch" by Bernhard Wagner and Johannes Hansen. It's an extremely sweet retelling of the Gospel story from a Christus Victor perspective - meaning it's a Gospel tract that is based on a message of relationship and love rather than one of threat and fear, so it's actually good news instead of bad.
The illustrations and text are by Bernhard Wagner. Johannes Hansen later added commentary to the story, which I have not included here in this version. You can see the full German version of the book online here. I don't think this has ever been translated into English, and I remember loving the story when I first read it many years ago. I'm not so crazy myself about the ending (it's a wee bit patronizing), but all in all I really love the idea behind this story, cause I'm a just a junk-boy too.
